Asheville Film Festival
2008 marks the 6th annual Asheville Film Festival. In 5 years the Asheville Film Festival has gained national recognition as an important gathering for over 300 filmmakers. The Asheville Film Festival showcases world premieres, independent films and workshops with the charm of quaint downtown Asheville as the backdrop. Over 30,000 attendees visit the Asheville Film Festival each year. As Asheville is a smaller city, visitors can enjoy the Asheville Film Festival by walking from venue to venue. Asheville is a mecca for the arts and has a substantial artist and film community.
