The Mary Baker Eddy Library's newest program, the Art of Reading, invites kids to come to the Library to explore, learn, and create. In other words, "A picture is worth a thousand words! Come tell us your favorite story through art!"
Tuesday, February 16 through Friday, February 19, the Library will offer free admission to visitors under 17. Children are invited to tour Library exhibits and learn more about Mary Baker Eddy's love of reading and her life spent learning, teaching and giving to others.
Although the projected quotations streaming through our majestic Hall of Ideas, and the unique experience of walking through the center of the earth in the Mapparium inspire on their own; during the school vacation week, the Library will also be offering story time every hour. Kids can listen as books are read aloud to them with selections chosen to reflect a theme of giving.
Children will also be provided with drawing materials and invited to depict a story that they have read themselves or one which has been read to them. Prizes will be awarded to selected drawings and winners will be announced at a reception on Thursday, March 4.
