Join us for the Asian Community Development Corporation's Fourth Annual Films at the Gate!
For four nights this August, a vacant lot near Boston's historic Chinatown Gate will be transformed into a free, outdoor theater, showing the best of Kung-Fu, Chinese-language films under the stars. On the 29th of August, we will have a special live musical performance by Anarchy Club (featured in the video games Guitar Hero and Rock Band), who will perform kung fu movie-themed music!
Films at the Gate is a collaborative project of several Chinatown residents and the Asian Community Development Corporation. Proceeds from the event will benefit Asian Voices of Organized Youth for Community Empowerment, a program of the Asian CDC. A-VOYCE is an intensive training program which aims to empower young Asian American adults by giving research skills, a connection to their community, and a public outlet to express their own ideas and opinions about their world via a weekly radio broadcast and walking tours of the Chinatown neighborhood. More information to be announced.
